You can control your NRGkick via a free smartphone app. Here you can make various settings for your NRGkick, but also retrieve interesting statistics and information about your charging process.

Bluetooth and WiFi

NRGkick has a WiFi and Bluetooth interface. Bluetooth connectivity allows you to connect to your smartphone and the NRGkick app for convenient control of your NRGkick. You can connect NRGkick to your home network via the WiFi interface, which greatly expands the range of functions and allows you to integrate many smart features.

Time controlled charging with charging plans

Also included: Time controlled charge with NRGkick! The user can either simply specify when a charge should start – but he can also create very detailed charging plans for each individual day of the week: For example, charging should only take place at night from 02:00 – 06:00 with maximum charging power, as the electricity is cheaper here, but during the rest of the time only with 6 A … or 10 A … or not at all … full flexibility!

With the scheduled charge start function, you can define exactly when the  charge should start and how high the charge current should be.

CHARGING PROFILE

With the definable charging profiles, you can create a real weekly schedule for  your charging! You can define individual charging actions that will be executed on selected days of the week. You can choose between charges with single charging current, solar-led charges and periods when charging is not required. So you’ll make sure you’re not only delivering on our vision of “charge. fast. anywhere.” but also do it at the exact time you want to.

Access via NRGkick Cloud

You have already made yourself comfortable at home and want to know the charging status of the NRGkick before going to bed? You’re at work right now and wondering how many kWh have already been charged so you know if you can still be on the road with the electric car in the evening?

NRGkick and the NRGkick Cloud make it possible! Access your NRGkick from anywhere via the internet and the NRGkick Cloud and check the current charge status, change charge settings and more anytime, anywhere!

Charging reports

By means of the free NRGkick app and the NRGkick Cloud, the user can receive detailed charging reports at any time (How many kWh charged?, When was charging done?, What is the share of renewable energy in the total amount of energy charged?, …). Clear graphics also illustrate the charging history and the amount of energy charged for each individual day in the reporting period.

The user can receive at any time and immediately a report for a pre-selected (current week, last week, current month, last month, last 7 days, last 30 days, current year, …) or also completely freely definable period – as PDF and/or CSV file. On top of that, the user can also set to automatically receive a weekly and/or monthly charging report – all by itself.

OCPP

OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) is an open communication standard that regulates communication between charging stations for electric vehicles and a central management system. NRGkick has this OCPP standard, which was developed by the Open Charge Alliance, and can thus be integrated into local charging networks. This is to prevent compatibility problems between the charging stations and the management systems.

When operating the NRGkick, you receive vibration feedback from the charging unit, making it even more intuitive and easy to use.

GEOLOCATION DATA VIA GPS

NRGkick comes standard with connectivity via Bluetooth and WiFi. However, it is also available with additional communication options – GSM/GPS and integrated SIM! This means that the charging unit can indeed be accessed from anywhere, without you having to be nearby and regardless of any WiFi networks that may not be available. Thanks to GPS, NRGkick also has the ability to display charging processes in charging reports with the associated geolocation data! This allows you to determine exactly where and how much was charged – which can be very helpful if you only want to verify loads from certain locations (e.g. for reimbursement purposes).

GSM CONNECTION VIA INTEGRATED SIM

The NRGkick variant with GSM/GPS/SIM ensures that you really do have access to your NRGkick from anywhere. Not only EDGE and GPRS are used, but also 4G M1 and 4G NB-IoT – these connection types were specially developed for “Internet of Things” applications and designed to ensure access to your NRGkick even in difficult communication situations (e.g. underground garages)! If, for example, you are only reimbursed for charging costs to third parties if these have taken place at certain locations, you can be sure that the charges are securely recorded and transmitted thanks to GSM/GPS/SIM. At the same time, 2 years of data volume are already included from the time of initial operation – of course with the possibility of renewal!

UPDATEABLE – FUTURE-PROOF

NRGkick is not only upgradeable – but also updateable (via OTA updates). Thus, with NRGkick you are absolutely future-proof, since both new functions and improvements are available to the user at any time. The development of further smart services will be continued on an ongoing basis and will not be withheld from existing users.
