Safety Connector System
The new connector system is one of the keys of NRGkick. It consists of a connector unit that is permanently installed on the charging unit and smart attachments that enable charging at any socket and at public charging stations.
The new connector system shines through increased safety mechanisms, simple operation and a variety of innovative features that make NRGkick the most innovative mobile charging unit that is absolutely unrivaled on the market. All smart attachments also feature fully silver-plated contact parts that ensure long-lasting and smooth plugging operations.
LED-Status Indicator
The connector unit has an LED circuit that serves as a status indicator and informs the user about the charging status or possible problems during the charging process.
CHARGE FAST
Full power for short charging times! The NRGkick smart attachments not only offer the possibility to charge at any socket, but also to use the full speed and charging power. NRGkick and the smart attachments allow the use of all 3 phases of the 400 V three-phase grid and therefore enable charging powers of up to 22 kW.

MODE 2 AND MODE 3 CHARGING FUNCTION
With the new connector system, it is not only possible to charge your electric car at any standard socket, but also at public charging stations. This allows NRGkick to be used as a Mode 2 and as a Mode 3 charging cable, replacing the need for an additional Type 2 cable – saving money and increasing convenience! This makes NRGkick the only charging cable you need to charge your electric car!
Automatic Smart Attachment Identification
The smart attachment used is intelligent and not only for example transmits the temperature values measured at each phase pin or a country-specific charging current limit to the NRGkick – it is also identified by the NRGkick charging unit.
This ensures that, for example, with an NRGkick smart attachment 16A only can charge with a maximum of 16A.
WATERPROOF ACCORDING TO IP67 + IP69K
With IP67 and IP69K protection classifications, the highest possible protection against dust and water ingress, even during high-pressure cleaning with hot water, is attested. While other charging solutions already have trouble with a light drizzle, NRGkick survives even a monsoon with ease.
By the way: Even if NRGkick gets puddly wet, the operation via the touch-sensitive surface still works perfectly (in winter even with gloves, to protect very cold-sensitive fingers…)!
HOT UNPLUG PROTECTION
Hot Unplug Protection is integrated into the connector unit of the NRGkick. This detects a disconnection of the connector unit at an early stage, terminates the supply and prevents arcing when the NRGkick is removed. A special mechanism interrupts the power supply before the pins of the smart attachment have even left the socket. This guarantees absolute safety when connecting and disconnecting to the mains!
TEMPERATURE MONITORING
NRGkick permanently monitors the temperature at each smart attachment – regardless of whether you are charging at a domestic plug socket or a three-phase connection.
Even if a poorly connected socket leads to a dangerously high temperature, NRGkick has the situation under control for you: The temperature mangement ensures that the charging current is reduced or even completely interrupted before the temperatures become critical and something can happen!
Compact
The smart attachments were conceived and designed in such a way that they take up particularly little space and weight and at the same time fit comfortably in the hand. The new connector unit system also eliminates unnecessary cables, making it even easier to take the matching plug attachment with you on your travels.
Due to the particularly small dimensions of the smart attachments, they can be taken anywhere – no matter whether in the trunk, in the frunk or in the NRGkick transport bag.
PHASE DETECTION AND REVERSE POLARITY PROTECTION
The new connector system ensures that NRGkick will not be damaged even if electrical installations are incorrectly installed. The connector unit detecs, for example, whether phases and neutral have been reversed and protects the electronics of the NRGkick from possible overvoltages.
