Description

NRGkick wall socket 16A
with proprietary interface, max. 16A/11kW, for NRGkick charging units

Scope of delivery and features:

  • NRGkick wall socket 16A
  • The NRGkick wall socket is permanently installed on the supply line and serves as a socket for and interface to the NRGkick charging unit.
  • Maximum charging current up to 16 amps – corresponds to maximum charging power of up to 11 kW

No external connection possible
The NRGkick wall socket has a proprietary connection interface, ensuring that no unintended devices can be connected to the socket.

Perfect for building installations
Wallboxes are often installed in building installations for charging electric vehicles because people cannot or do not want to install freely accessible CEE sockets. With the NRGkick wall socket, there is now an extremely cost-effective alternative to this: Instead of a freely accessible CEE socket or an expensive wallbox, the NRGkick wall socket is installed.
The proprietary connection interface rules out the possibility of strangers/other devices being connected to the socket. If an electric vehicle is to be charged, however, the NRGkick charging unit can be connected to the socket at any time and immediately. This makes it possible to realise a large number of potential charging points at minimal cost.

Noticeably smooth operation
Connecting and disconnecting the NRGkick charging unit to the NRGkick wall socket is noticeably easier than it would be with a CEE socket thanks to the excellent contact properties and the materials used.

Temperature monitoring & socket overheating protection
Like all NRGkick Smart Attachments, the NRGkick wall socket also has temperature monitoring – on each individual phase pin. This means that your NRGkick knows exactly whether too much heat is being generated due to an incorrectly installed socket and avoids dangerous situations before they arise. If your socket becomes too hot, NRGkick regulates the charging current completely independently.

Avoiding arcing through automatic hot-unplug detection
If a charging unit is disconnected from the power supply during charging, dangerous arcing occurs which damages the contacts. Due to the way the NRGkick wall socket and the patented high-level safety connector system work, arcing is completely ruled out – this is the only charging unit on the market where the current flow is interrupted even before the contacts separate!

Protection from wrongly wired sockets
NRGkick detects whether the wall socket has been incorrectly connected or installed – for example, if a second phase has been connected instead of the neutral conductor. This enables it to alert the user by means of an LED signal on the charging unit and the Connector Unit that there is a problem and prevents charging.

Additional LED indicator on Connector Unit
NRGkick Smart Attachments are connected to the Connector Unit of the NRGkick – there is an additional LED display that informs you about the status of your charging unit at any time.

Optimal haptics
The NRGkick Connector Unit engages noticeably and securely in the NRGkick wall socket – accidental disconnection is impossible. At the same time, the soft-component surface of the plug system with a good grip ensures that you can unplug the charging unit quickly and easily if necessary.

Automatic detection of the maximum charging current for your safety
The NRGkick wall socket is automatically recognised and identified by the NRGkick charging unit. This ensures that the charging current does not exceed the value for which the wall socket is approved.

The second generation of the NRGkick, called “Gen2”, followed in 2021 and is now supplied to over 40 countries worldwide. The product is still being further developed and produced regionally at the competence center in St. Stefan i. R.

2023: Expansion of the site by 3 halls

It quickly became clear that even more space was needed for further development and production. Two years later, the second construction phase of the company site was completed with a tripling of the halls.

2023: Launch of PV-led charging

In 2023, the long-awaited software upgrade for photovoltaic-led charging was launched for the second generation of NRGkick. A clear moment of success for DiniTech, as the popular feature enables NRGkick users to take a further step towards sustainable mobility and efficient charging.
